Personal Experience

Kathryn Guthrie is the Managing Broker and Co-Owner of The Liberty Group of Nevada, a premier business brokerage firm she operates alongside her husband and business partner, Stewart Guthrie. The Liberty Group of Nevada helps entrepreneurs buy, build, and sell businesses with confidence and success. With nearly two decades of hands-on business ownership and transaction experience, Kathryn is dedicated to guiding business owners through business sales, valuations, and exit planning.

 

She holds certifications as a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) through the Exit Planning Institute and a Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) with the International Business Brokers Association. She is also a licensed real estate broker and a graduate of UC Davis.

 

Kathryn’s career began in technology and training, working as a software trainer for CompUSA before advancing to Vice President of Technology for Evergreen Forms. Her entrepreneurial journey started in 2004, when she and Stewart purchased their first business—a coffee distribution company—which they successfully grew and sold in 2008. In 2009, they co-founded RPM Sac-Metro, a residential property management firm, scaling it into a successful operation before selling it in 2019.

 

In 2021, Kathryn and Stewart took the helm of The Liberty Group of Nevada, bringing their combined expertise to support business owners in navigating the complexities of buying, growing, and selling their businesses.
